I bought a bulb anemone yesterday and today it hasn't left it's crevice at all. I don't know if I should be worried because it is not getting light or just let it be.

I acclimated it yesterday, put it in a spot I thought it would like with a big crevice for it's foot. It opened up completely fairly fast and was looking great. Once the lights went off it started moving around and fell off the rock and went for a ride in the flow. Ended up face down in the sand at the back of my tank. I picked him up and put him on a different rock and he slowly started moving towards the dark crevice between the rock and the one above it. Has been hidden ever since.

Is this just normal behavior I should not even worry about? He looks slightly inflated still in his little cave. I've attached two pics, one with flash and one without.

I would just let it be, it's acclimating.

Okay, I figured it will just take some time. Thank you!

How long can it go without light before I should really begin to watch it?

    Several days.

What type of lighting do you have?

More than enough for a BTA.

Sometimes they just need some acclimation time, if the BTA has been shipped recently, or sat at the LFS under less ideal lighting it takes some to get to used to more intense lighting.

My BTA had no issues during a complete 4 day black out on my tank so I would not be too concerned.

    Good Luck.
