We are delighted to announce the launch of our new C-Skim 1200 protein skimmer. It's got some great, unique features including a neck washing system that removes the need to manually clean the skimmer neck. Check it out on www.reseafish.com, or you can see it working on http://www.youtube.com/v/Y3MeRwrgNGs All the best, Steve

I bought the C-skim 1200 and had to return it, which made me very sad! I wanted a skimmer that could go into the sump vs being external.

The footprint of the C-skim is gigantic! Then as the skimmer gets taller it also gets wider! Would not fit in my sump and then I even bought a bigger sump and would not fit.

There is soo much room in the skimmer itself that IMHO could be eliminated to make it fit easier in the sump! Plus I know it could be plumbed externally but the directions said it could not

Like I said was sad that I had to return it as I loved the features...just can not see many people fitting it in the sump. My store did but they are using like a 50g tank as a sump with nothing in it other then the skimmer

Well for the size of the tank that thing's meant to go in, there's probably be a nice big sump for it to go into. That things is just an absolute beast...imagine what it'd do to my 46...

    C-Skim 800 in the making :D Please? Perty please? :D :D :D

actually for a fully stocked reef tank it was designed for 125g.....fish only I think it goes to 400g I think.....but I have a 35g sump and it would not fit due to the size. On my one sump there is a very big lip, so I tried to cut part of that out so it could go in, but then when the actual body increased in size it did not work well!

sorry just looked at site....300g fish only, 175g for softies and 100g for hard corals. I have a 125g mixed heading toward more hard corals
