    so how fast would it grow eyes or encrust

    Most chalice seem to grow quite slowly but that definitely depends on the species and color. Please post a picture of it for all to enjoy. It might help us give you better info too.

    exactly as 2in10 said, most prefer lower light and flow but some like higher light and flow, I've even got some that don't like light and do best in a shaded area, without pics it would be hard to help you based on so many different types out.

    in terms of what you got for equipment light wise is more than enough. your params are fine. I have found chalices to be more on the forgiving side of parameters but not so much for wrong placement, move it around until you se it happy. Mine look "happier" when i notice their flesh swell a bit, and the eyes come out more. You will also notice new colors develope in good areas.
