    Very nice, congrats, tough angle to get a good shot, but I still a very colorful fish

    Congrats on the new fish, Get a side shot when you can, Im pretty sure thats the christmas wrasses look alike. :( Regardless still an amazing fish.

    I do think that may be the red lined wrasse (Halichoeres biocellatus). But regardless, it's a gorgeous fish and will be a lot of fun! Congrats!

    Side pics are coming, I figured it looked most like a craoss between the liveaquaria pic and a redline. It does have eyespots like in the pics. I have also seen fish labeled Wardley Wrasse that have spots on the caudal but still look like the LA.com pic

    Well, so far as I can tell, its a redline but its tail is green whereas in the pics online they are clear.us ALSO it has green stripes running along its side. Could it have evovled its patterns to suit its habitat? Could it have crossbred?

    lol. i don't think i have either. what was sold to me as a christmas wrasse looks more like the first picture. halichoeres ornatissimus......okay, i will leave your thread alone.
