    i saw him eat one flake. hes constantly swimming into the current, i dont know how he doesnt move before he gets tired lol

    Well that's good. You can keep trying him with different stuff. I find most of my new fish eat flake before anything else.
    How's your surface agitation/ aeration in the tank?

    stupid pump is powerful im the nano cube and i have a surface skimmer

    Sometimes it doesnt matter, you can do everything right and they still dont make it... There are too many variables, he could have been sick at the wholesaler or injured in transport......

    update: hes doing very well i did try the soak in garlic but my tank started smelling like garlic and so did my fingers(not good for date nite). plus it left a flim on the top of the water. but hes growing up soo fast.

    Have you dosed your tank lately,sometimes a sudden dose can cause fish to act a bit out of character if their not used to the dozing schedule
