I just bought to clownfish. A perc and a black and white with an orange face ocellaris. Will these been fine together since i'm adding them a the same time? I just added them and they are doing a lot of nipping at each other.

Are they both small? Same size - one bigger or smaller? Size does matter with clowns;)

Did they come from the same tank at the LFS?

I had an orange Ocellaris first, and then added a black Ocellaris a few weeks later, same size. Things were all good for a while, then I came home after a weekend away and found my black clown beaten to a pulp in the corner, with orange one still attacking. He did not survive the night. Not saying this will happen to you, but clowns can be very aggressive and territorial....so keep a close eye on things!

How big is your tank? This will likely be a big factor of success....

    Agreed.

Clownfish are little more than damsels in fancy pajamas, and if you don't match them properly in an appropriately sized tank, you're going to have problems.

You said they're the same size? That's not good either, unless they're small juvies, as there's a good chance you may have 2 mature females.

I have 2 orange Ocellaris clowns that have been in my tank for a long time. When I first added them in they were bullied a lot but the bullying fish has been removed. Since then I added 2 black ocellaris clowns and all 4 of them get along great. They have been in there together for over 6 months with no problems. One of the orange ones does like to wonder from the rest but it is not because of bullying. It's kinda cool they all swim together in unisons but from what other people are saying I might have gotten lucky.
