For the budget minded, I really like my Makarov 9X18 ..Russian...Chinese...Bulgarian...pick your flavor (mines Russian)...very dependable, very concealable..under 300.00...not all shops carry the ammo, but those that do sell it by the thousands. : ) it has the 380 converter kit available also.
..but, my pocket gun is a SP101 357 Mag, wheel,...it just feels good. : )

The 2" & 3" barrels for .357's must have some serious recoil! I've got a S&W 6" .357 and that thing is a beast, I can't imagine one half the weight. I've read a lot of folks that buy those sm .357's for light carry never end up practicing with them due to sore hands and wrists at the range, not a good thing for a carry piece.

There are a lot of .380's on the market with the huge uptick in folks wanting a sm carry or 1st self defense gun. ...it's just finding one that will cycle reliably.
I'm a big fan of the Stainless Walther PPK for a solid .380...

Yep that Ruger really goes boom..I can bounce a can 5 for 5 at about 20 /25 feet...quick fire...hope I never have to jerk leather....but I'd rather be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

..the Makarov is a pee shooter comparatively...I just threw it out there for the sake of the thread....still a cool pee shooter though..if ya like chasing brass..8)
