Well basically, because i want too. The bad guys do it, so why can't the good guys? But also because I shoot a lot, and its just easier to carry. Hopefully, i'll never have a "real" reason to have ever carried, but if a reason arises, I'd rather be ready than not.

The cost I was referring to was the cost of a Makarov...250 to 300..more like 250.00...
    The Ruger SP101 357 mag...not cheap..about 450 /500 bucks...sorry for the confusion.8)
...as for the pocket..depends on the season.;)

Nah the 357 is $439 where i'm heading sunday, if that thing feels like a viable in the pocket, or easy inside the waste band that's what I'm getting for sure. Just seems like its gonna be a bit heavy/bulky for what i want, but i'm hoping. Would love a 357 revolver. The main prob I have with my others is the high cap handle and long barrel and where i have to carry it because I'm skinny, is all up in my junk. Not comfortable.

And I'm looking for summer, and shorts, but I only own baggy cargo shorts for this very reason!

What do you think LG, because I have to have the store grab one from there other store for me.

its a beast for sure..but I wear baggy shorts and jeans...it is pretty easy to exit...or if I have a jacket its in the inside pocket...I got a high hip waist holster but I find myself just putting it in my pocket...439.00 is great price...I had some custom grips on mine, but I went back to the stock slimmer designed ones..jmo, but I really love that gun...oh and easy waist gun....especially if ya don't have a gut ! lol

LG, they were sold out so I got this.
    Product: Model 638

S&W airweight .38 special with some hornady critical defense loads. Less than 6 1/2"'s and under a pound. Fits nicely in my pocket. Internal hammer. This will be used when I'm in shorts and a tshirt, doing active stuff out and about with my boy only. The rest of the time I'll still carry my springfield xd 9 or my S&W MP .40.

Thanks for all the help guys, in the end, I have 2 bad a55 concealable guns already, I just really wanted a super small lightweight one for specific times.;)

..one of my fathers learned lines of my life was "better to have it, and not need it, then to need it, and not have it"

Exactly! pretty sure this isn't going to ba a go to the range and push a few hindered shots down the range gun, but more of a put 20 shots down the range every now and then gun while there! But yeah hoping the critical defense ammo only gets spent for the sake of spending it cause its getting old and need to get new. Gonna put that Ruger 357 on layaway in my mind though. Was considering leaving with both today!;)
