bhazard bought one of these, they are like the 120watt fixtures, with a built in controller and heatsink.

Here's part of my review I posted elsewhere:

"Upon opening the box, I was greeted with another well built, quality light. The light looks sexy and sleek, and welcome atop any beautiful reef.

One of the first things I noticed that took me by surprise, was the addition of a brand new, adjustable and tilt-able hanging kit! It is nearly the exact same one I used that came with the Apollo Reef Led Solarblast light, and it was something I suggested they use awhile back. These normally cost around $30 alone, so I was very much excited to place it over my tank.

I then saw a wireless remote with buttons that said "cloudy", "sunny", "custom", "moon", "manual". I couldn't wait to fire it up, as those buttons intrigued me.

Upon firing it up, I was greeted to a very clean and detailed LCD screen complete with graphics and easily readable text. The first thing I did was lightly touch the touch sensitive "ok" button, and I was able to change modes. The light smoothly dimmed into a "cloudy" mode. I then tried the others.

The "moon" mode surprised me. One of the problems with moonlights on many fixtures, is that they are too bright. At their "highest" setting of 5, the moonlights were much dimmer than most moonlights, and actually looked really nice. I think they nailed the brightness, and the moonlights are very much usable."

As far as performance, my led layout is different than the standard Reefbreeders layout, so PAR numbers may differ, but I posted PAR numbers over my 34 gallon cube a few posts above.

The brightness can be edited every half hour. It does not "ramp up or down", but the brightness changes every half hour or hour to whatever you want in 1% increments.

For $300, its awesome. No need to buy extra controllers, and it is plenty powerful. It should provide around equal or better PAR to an AI Vega Color, for half the price of one and AI's controller. It also includes violet 420nm, which AI lacks. The leds and optics are easily replaceable as well. You can also plug two lights together, and run them both off of one power cord.

My light was also a first run, pre-production light. There might be bugfixes or even possibly new features on the next batch that ships.

Awesome. Glad I am getting this light.

Can you provide some pictures of your pre-production version?

What type of optics and height above water would you suggest for a 29 gallon DT (30" x 12" x 18"deep)?

    I have a 56g that's 30"x18" and 30" deep. Which unit would you recommend?

Did you have a chance to get any extra adjustable hanging kits? I would like 2 for my 120 watt dimmable units I bought from you a while back. I will buy them if you have some extra. Thanks, loving the lights by the way!

The adjustable kits are screwed onto the fixture. They won't work with the non controllable 120w models.

120 degrees, 8-12" off the water.
