    There is always hope. It was probably bad from the store. just keep an eye on it. you might want to slowly acclamate it to the new bulbs.

    How do you slowly acclimate new bulbs?

    just acclimate the coral. don't put directly under new blubs. put in shade for awhile then slowly bring into full light. I have to do it with my halides. Maybe not a consern with t5s

    only takes a day or so and can't hurt seeing coral is already stressed.

    i dont think theres any need to light acclimate something to pc's, they get a bad rep and in my opinion deserve it, the reflectors for pc's are total crap IMO.

    yea I dont care for them to much.
    they were my first set of lights, I upgraded to one set of t5 but it only light up about half the tank so I kept the power compacts to keep the whole tank lit

    what size tank do you have? why not just get a T5 fixture? then you would be all good.

    I have a 75, and a T5 fixture, but it only has the two bulbs in it.
    The power compacts have 4 lights in it, and i like running it for the blues before i put lights on full blast and before bed
