New corals, Advice please

    i got some new corals todays two toadstools i think ;D (new too this) and some hairy green mushrooms, my question is do you have too put some distance between the corals? ive read some let off toxins and sting other corals, ive attached a pic i took it just after i placed them, any advice would be greatly appreciated , i also got an orange star fish:balloon2:

    My toadstools and mushrooms aren't necessarily "threatening" in any way but all corals should have their space for them to prosper in my opinion. It looks like your good in those pics if you as me though. Nice additions!

    cheers johnny, thats a relief just didnt want them to start a brawl for space lol, ill keep my eye on them, these are my first corals so its all pretty new and exciting :-D

    Hey! Let me start congratulating you on your new corals! Good choice! They should be fairly easy to keep. Moreover, mushrooms are very sensitive probe (bioindicator) of tank stability; they will "shed" whenever something is wrong! Good luck! K+!

    tanks been going for around 3 months now and everything has been hunkey dorey upto now (touch wood) yes i think its a linkia star thats the verdict i came too anyhow

    lol dont worry i wasnt upset or discouraged, i was joking, i bow to your superior intelligence 8), i wonder if someone could identify a coral for me i bought it a few hours ago for £25 it looks like grass all the little strands are in lots of little tubes that are purple in colour, the tubes are quite brittle the grass is green tiped and fades to a kind of purple? dont have any pics yet will prob get some tomorrow evening

    Sounds like a pipe organ coral. Comes in many different colors.
