No i dont, its an asterina. There is definitive evidence to them eating coral.

There's many kinds of asterinas, some of which are reported to eat corals.

i think its balls, i literally have a thousand in my tank, and not once have i ever seen one eating a coral. If i have ever had a coral die on me, its down to my own negligence.

I like the fact that they eat coraline. I dont like it.

    Noted with thanks! :)

I posted the pics tho to show off my new aquacisions. Not to discuss the safety of the asterinas in my tank.
They really dont bother me, so they shouldnt bother anyone else. ;)

the corals look great, I wish I could track down nice acro's like that at my lfs. We get tiny frags, for way too much money up here in Canada.

P.S ... an asterina with 5 legs is a detrivore, an asterina with 6 legs is predatory ... you should be fine!

i just pulled three brown and whiteish astrenas off the underside of my monti cap when i was treating for MEN... before this, i didnt even know they existed in my tank :/

but neways, your acro is awesome! you always get such large colonies :)
Immediate polyp extension is a very good thing!
