You can also feed them at night since most LPS tend to stick out feeding tentacles during the night (during they day they may be nipped if left out). I feed mine at night simply for the fact that during the day, any large pieces of mysis or krill (whatever i happen to be feeding) can get picked off quickly by any inverts or fish while they are still being held in the tentacles.

This brain isn't healthy now right?

I tried squirting some Cyclops on it today and I saw some pieces stuck onto it so hopefully that helps.

It has a couple of spots, the middle of the top and on the left side, that look a little irritated. This is a new pic right, I can't see them both side by side, but it looks better than it did when you first posted it (if it's not a new pic, blame it on tired eyes with too much salt creep in my brain).

I have one very similar to yours, and the tentacles on it were open in the acclimation bucket. They come out every night and the mouth opens whenever I feed the tank. I have not target fed this coral, I just add coral frenzy and cyclo-peeze to my tank every other day, alternately (meaning I don't feed both on the same day).

Some corals though, don't show their "feeding faces" often, especially if they are getting enough photosynthetically. My vet has two and one of them feeds all the time, but the other hardly ever does. They are on opposite ends of a 185, the one that she has never seen open its mouth is bigger than the other one by far. If you're seeing growth and no tissue necropsis, I wouldn't worry.

Yea, that was in the morning with the actinics on. I feed him Cyclopleeze with a turkey baster every few days.
