So was at the LFS today and the gf goes "whats that its pretty" and points at a dendro. Picked it up for 30$ then i was like what about those little sticks of green birds nest? and got those for 5 bucks. So overall a good day :)

Was sold as 1 head, he said the other is damaged but that it sometimes opens a little. So i think i can get it back to health :)

it should be ok untill your LEDs show up. places it at the hightest part of your tank under the t5 and when your LED come move it midway down. What LED did you get ?

I have a neon green birdsnest like that under my 4 T5's and it's doing fantastic!! When I got it, it was super dull looking but colored up really well. Had it at the top of the tank roughly 5 inches from the light, then once it colored up and I got some good growth, I moved it down a good 12 inches from the light to test to see if 4 T5s could keep it colored up. 4 T5s is lots of light you know. lol I have Acros under 4 T5s, but they do need to be placed at the top 5 inches of the tank to keep their color and growth, and I get lots of it!

you are familar with dendro care?

It is a great grab! Our area dendro goes 50/polyp. There is a possibility you will loose the second polyp as it appears to have been damaged and cut during the fragging, however if it does die, leave the skeleton on there. You will have so many babies popping off that thing. Looks like you have a small baby coming on the full polyp. Look at the brown area, then right below it appears to be a white pimple. Looks like the start of a baby

exactly but you will want to specifically target feed.........I target feed my dendros daily. Hopefully the little guy will polyp back out. I use a combo of zooplanktos from brightwell, baby brine, cyclopeeze, oyster feast, and mysis.
