Its the Pumping Xenia sorry i went brain dead and couldnt think of their names

I have kept two of the anemone alive for about 3 months now, and a smaller hard shell anemone for about 1 month. I have moved the plate coral. And i know that some will but hopefully not all. They seem to be liking it right now so hopefully they are good.

 

hey bud great score and sweet coral and clam. definately upgrade to metal halide if you didnt already.your clam will appreciate it.

and i have to agree with my freind pheonixheights, you should take that plate coral and lay it flat on your sand. this animal has the ability to move but the underbody is very delicate and will get damaged as it rubs with the rock. low flow and flat sand is the best for this guy. and try to spot feed him, he will eat lots. but i do know people who dont feed at all. so...

 

That being said i have a problem. I will prob add another 55 watt or two to my tank so i have 6 x 55 watt compact lighting. Anyways back to my problem. My LFC told me to keep him on a small rock beacuse they have a body that moves and if i keep him on the sand my sand eater golby covers him up.

Anyways i left for three days on a trip came back and all my corals are looking better than ever. Everything is loving it. New pictures soon. I need to figure out a good setting on my digital camera.

 

Your LFS is right that they can puff up and move but if you leave it on the rock, it will damage itself if and when it does try to move. Try to move the plate coral to an area of the tank where the goby does not sift sand onto it.

 

I have a few more questions, for the clam should he be on a rock in the sand? Also my coral beauty attacked my corals, bights my leathers and my anemones ahhaa.

 

well your clam could be placed on either or, but they demand a lot of light, so if your rocks come close to the surface of the water I would find a nice and sturdy place to put it up on!
