New Crab Species Discovered Off Taiwan Coast

    A team from the National Taiwan Ocean University recently discovered a new crab species off the coast of Kenting National Park. The crab, edit - temporarily classified as Neoliomera Pubescens, resembles a strawberry with white bumps on its small clam-shaped shell that is about 1 inch in diameter. The crab pictured has small pinchers. Hmm.. reef-safe? What say you? What do we name this strawberry shortcake? :)

    Ive had a strawberry crab in my tank for over a year. Havent ever had problems i belive its compleetly reef safe. However he only comes out at night so i dont get to see his beauty that often.

    Guys there is a crab with a common name of "Strawberry Crab" in the trade ;) Genus is Liomera.

    Someday the hobby will learn more latin names as so the common names of which can be shared amongst 20+ animals will go AWAY!!!!
