    Hi all

Got a new cup coral a few days ago, but I am finding varying info on where it should be in my tank.

55 Gal. reef tank w/T6 lighting, good flow, healthy tank.

HELP! I know it may take a while to open up, but I'd like to give the best shot I can.

well depending on your lighting, I would place it middle/upper part of the tank. It likes good flow. It is not as light demanding as many other sps

I agree, medium with moderate flow to aid in detritus accumulation. The small polyped Turbinaria is easier to maintain than its larged polyped cousin.

I hear you should turn it kinda sideways so "stuff" doesn't settle in it and just sit there.

In my old 55 I used to have the problem with stuff settling in mine. Some experience has taught me good water flow will take care of this for you. Good looking specimen by the way... Here's a recent picture of mine. Oh, almost forgot, mine is under a 400 watt MH about half way up and it gets blasted with water about once every 60 seconds...
