I saw this at one of the LFS that is actually closing at the end of the month for $10. I noticed that it looked like a digitata, so I asked the manager of the store what kind of coral it was and he confirmed that it is indeed a Digitata. I was dumfounded! I had never seen one like this before. It had actually had a decent amount of old tissue recession on it though and the guy told me that it is actually making a come back from the recession, which to me it seems to be doing OK, but not great. So I bought it anyway for $10. Cut the healthiest pieces away from the old recession and placed it. I actually have 3 pieces. The big one in this pic, a smaller one under the bigger one and another one off to the left out of the frame. I'm hoping it will make a strong come back in my tank since my green digitata, which was almost all brown when I got it with not as many polyps, is looking bright green and the amount of polyps have doubled and there is lots of new growth and branches on it! I am confident that I will be able to bring this beautiful coral back! The maneger of the store told me that this is actually what the coral is suppose to look like! That this is it's true healthy colors. What do you guys think? I have never seen a digitata these colors before. Bleached or faded? The guy told me that this is a good find for $10 and that it would have been scooped up real fast. I didn't really believe him because he could have just been lying trying to get me to buy it lol But I thought it was pretty and bought it anyway. Is this actually a rare find?

The polyps aren't all out because it's still obviously acclimating :p
And all that white stuff on the rock is crazy glue lol I have cut away my devils hand and sold it, so placed crazy glue over the pieces I couldn't remove.

Agreed, it's not a forest fire. I looked them up. that's not what this is. I am pretty sure this IS actually an ORA peach digi. every pic I see looks like it... mine just has less polyps. I have placed these very close to the spot where my green digitata recovered wonderfully (I have moved the green digi now though) right up high in the tank in a high flow, so I am hoping that it starts to encrust soon and the amount of polyps inscreases and it stays this color or even colors up even more! :D

I have heard that both forest fire and superman digi fade over time. you very well could have either one of these. Or it could be orange or pink, you will just have to see how it colors up.
