Thank you sir. I wanted the bigger one but my tank is to small. This one is pretty large when fully opened.

Thank you. Not very hard to care for but it has to find a happy spot in the tank. High light and low to medium flow seems to be what my elegance likes. I also have him on the sand bed instead of the live rock. I say get one, you won't regret it.

very nice, i wishy you more luck than me with it. iv read that depending where they come from and due to the fact they are being collected in deeper and deeper waters its lighting requirements my be lower than what you would think.

One cool thing about LPS is that most of them are very broad when it comes to lighting requirements. If they aren't getting enough light, they will, most of the time, stretch out to gather more. This really doesn't damage the coral in any way but really changes the shape of the coral. For example, if you look at the coral of the month posting, the welsophyllia will change shape and expand to gather more light. This is something that most softies and sps just can't do. That's why with sps, it's high lighting only with very few exceptions. Personally, i have frogspawn in my tank that are just getting pounded with light and they look great. I also have a bubble coral that is on the outer edge of my rockwork and it doesn't get quite as much but expands to gather it. I hope that all made sense.

Thanks Dan, that makes perfect sense. It's pretty cool to see the LPS change shapes to recieve light and the fact that they can do that is even more amazing. So far my elegance is doing fantastic.
