Anyone have tips on what I can try to feed my finicky coral beauty angelfish? Right now there is a seaweed clip with seaweed in it put in the angelfish's favorite spot to graze. It seems to like the diatoms and any other algae growing on the rocks and the glass but I fear there might not be enough(so with good reason I try to keep the glass full of it) nutritional value in it for him/her. I got unlucky with this fish as it will not accept any prepared food and am hoping I get lucky with seaweed. Anyone know of any live sea plants that could be used as food or any thing else? (it does occasionally graze on the halimeda but I doubt it can/will eat it) Maybe the color of the seaweed makes a difference. (the one I currentally have is red)
    Btw-
If anyone was wondering how my tang is, it is eating like a pig and seems to be healthy =D (Willing to eat almost any prepared food I put in there)
Excuse the poor pictures, I am using a craptastic digital camera.(you can see the angelfish in both images)

ive had smaller angels for a while now, and what i have noticed with the types that i have kept, is that they eat sponges. IMO i feel that most angels dont need sponges but having them in the tank will help along in getting them to eat. also try some the specialized small angel foods available. it looks to me that you dont have much live rock in the tank. live rock is a must with angels again IMO.

but see if what i said helps, and good luck.

Yeah as for the live rock I need to order some next week when I get paid, along with curing stuff. My lfs ony offers live rock at 6.99 a pound which I cannot pay. So I have to be stuck with smaller ammounts till I can order some.
I have read that coral beauties are predominatly algae eaters which mine demonstates well(grazes all over and it's droppings are green like that)
So far I have not seen it touch the mushroom coral but graze around it.

Try the pygmy angel formula from Ocean nutrition. As the name implies its made with your coral beauty in mind. It usually takes afew days-a week to have them feed regularly.

Yes I am happy now, I was hoping it was going to be my first fatality and I would hate to see a fish waste away =(
I am glad it is taking after my blue tang and eating like a little piggy. =D
