Just a recent picture of my tank, I tried to fix my aquascape a bit, same general idea but less rocks.

Im also trying my luck again with another Copperband butterfly fish.

and lastly, while reaquascaping, I found this yellow thing. Is it some sort of sponge? can someone ID it?

It looks like it could be.. Just never seen one that big.

There should be a picture in this thread a few pages back, right now it's mad because I moved it around when I aquascaped and I accidentally ripped it a bit :-X Ooops.. hope it recovers well.

Yeah just sponge a very pretty one, looks like a yellow ball sponge. Google "images of" and check it out.

Tanks looks great, more caves, kind of the grotto look.

Good luck with the CBB. I never had much luck with them long term.

How big is the sponge? It was just chillin' in the back the whole time? Hope the CBB lives long for you. They are awesome fish.

It kind of looks like it. Although mine is not a ball, it just kind of grew into the dead coral rock that was there before.

I just kinda left it near where it was, but is there any special thing i need to be aware of? It must have been on a really good place for it to thrive because it seems it spread into another rock that was next to it

You probably found it in a shaded area.

Your tank must have the silica the sponge requires with suspended particles, I would just keep doing what ever it is you do. Perhaps the feeding regime of your fish is assisting the sponge as well.

Yeah.. I decided to take some rocks out to make it less congested and BOOM there it was on the corner of the tank. It look really nice for me to just leave it on the very back so I left it near, but on a visible spot from where it was.
