    about the cycling... i saw a rise in ammonia to .25, lasted 2 days and now its gone.. cycled already???? its been 2 weeks. ( or is it a mini cycle?)

    Nice looking set ups Elweshomayor
    rise and then zero of ammonia is a cool sign that cycle is in process
    are you measuring Nitrites also, as that is next stage
    bacteria developed to deal with the wastes/ nutrients in the water develop and convert that waste to ammonia, other species of bacteria come along next and convert that ammonia to Nitrite and thereafter other species come along and convert the Nitrite to Nitrate

    so once your ammonia and nitrites have peaked and zero'd then thats what many would classify as cycled

    yeah, im actually about to test again. ( my ammonia still 0) and i havent checked nitrates yet.

    How many pounds of base rock is in the 150 now? I'd add a little more then some good lr. It looks good so far, what are you planning on using for lighting? I'd go big with such a deep tank. I'm going to set up a 150 in the next few weeks as a mixed reef. I'm planning on getting a coralife aqua pro MH/PC light. Keep the pics comming.
