from what i understand they eat pods but when i looked him up it said his diet should be supplemented with mussel meat and black worms, does this mean that he will also take meat?

I've had a leopard wrasse (Macropharyngodon Meleagris) for about 3 months or so now, so if you've got ?s just ask. The potters leopard wrasse (Macropharyngodon Geoffroyi) is similar in most aspects, but has a natural habitat of water temp a few degrees cooler 74-79*. If it eats food and survives the first few weeks, you should be in the clear. Try feediing live if it won't take frozen food. Mine loves the frozen Hikari mysis and spirulina brine shrimp. After a few weeks, he started to accept the freeze-dried mysis.
