i set up this tank and got some lr the 8th and made a bigger hood for it. upgraded the led bulbs. also added a 50/50 20w coralife fixture.
i made the hood out of acrylic and cut out a vent on the top. still have to paint it. im planing on doing mostly soft corals and maybe some others as well. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Very cool.

I was a real skeptic on this tank a couple years ago. With the modifications that hobbyist are doing I think they make a great nano.

I think member m2434 has one, might be wrong.

    Nice job.

i have always wanted to do this, but its just so hard to mod it to be capable of hard corals. im sure you could buy some cheap knock off par38 bulbs and put them in there. maybe only 1-2 ive seen some good light setups on these little tanks that grow alot of great looking corals.

i dont think you can do much more than softies, i would suggest getting a par38 bulb if you ant to grow lps or sps or both.
