I made this little frag rack/box. This one is already spoken for, whippy has dibs on this guy. I didn't realize something so simple looking could be such a pain in the butt to make. :p
I completely encased the magnets with silicone to prevent it from corroding. They are epoxy coated neodium magnets, but I don't trust that thin coating they put on it. Does anyone know of a way to smoothly apply silicone around something like that? Smearing it with finger tips results in a less than stellar finished product.

Not a bad idea thanks! I just need to make sure to not spread it too thin. :)

Yeah, lucky guy has a laser cutter which makes the edges perfect. I have to do it the old fashioned way, with my hands and saws. I bought a jointer to help, but even then it is hard.

I used 1/4" thick stock to make this one. The ones I make after this will most likely be 3/16" thick to keep the weight down a bit. :)

Box came in today, it looks great! I'll try to get some pics up tonight :D
    Thanks so much :D:D

To answer a bit more about why a box:

Not only will it hold frag plugs with the egg crate but I can use it as a viewer, I have an area to catch critters and a no flow zone inside the box for attaching muchrooms and other non-gluables :D Its a great design.
