I'm so excited! This weekend I will be picking up a little frog that I've been looking for for quite some time now. Longer than I've been in saltwater actually.
She comes from the rain forests mainly surrounding Venezuela. Since it is the bugs poison darts eat that make them poisonous she no longer is a threat since her diet consists of wingless fruit flies. And yes she has been sexed and is definitely female. Her name is Pokey and out of respect for the person I'm getting her from I'll leave it. :)
This is the species Bumblebee Dart--Dendrobate Leucomelas

I'm going to be busy tonight converting a 5 gallon into a vivarium! Will post pics when I get her home and set in. ;D

Awesomeness! just make sure that the frog stays near the ground most of the time. May seem weird but i had a red eyed tree frog whose feet got stuck to a plastic branch and he suffocated to death.

i had a green tree frog that we caught as a tadpole and absolutely loved it. ours lived for about 3 years. we used to let it climb the walls and stuff till we got a dog then it stayed in its cage but they are so fun to have and very facinating to watch. congrats and hope you enjoy.
