I picked up this frag that I belive to be frogspawn, the problem is as you can see from the pick is the head is atop of a very long skeleton (not a plug) which is making it hard to put anywhere in my tank. Would it be ok to chop the stem in half so I can secure it onto a plug or rock? I'm not sure how far the polyps go into the head and I don't want to accidently cut them.
    any thoughts?

It will be fine to do that as you should be able to view the tissue at the top of the Euphyllia , just stay away from the tissue that connects to the calcareous skeleton.

Congrats on the Frogspawn! Mine also has a longer portion of skeleton. I was able to find a nook to glue the entire piece into without chopping on it though.

Well I ended up using a skeleton from a goni, I drilled a hole down the center that would fit the frag and just pushed it down in. I knew that goni skeleton would come in handy some day.
