Thanks for the input. There is a fellow in the local reef club that I am part of that has some LR he is looking to get rid of as he is going to be taking down his tank to set up a smaller one. I know he is looking to sell some of it. Maybe I will hit him up and buy some.

Tank looks great. I like the open look of the tank. Take advantage of the guy breaking his tank down to get more rock. More rock could give you more room to place corals.

That would be the only reason I would add more rock. I know I will need to get rid of the yellow tang soon as my tank is only 55g so if I did that then I wouldnt need as much room. Although then I would be down to 2 fish. But then do I really need fish?

All depends on what you like. Things are going good so I might just leave it alone. Another factor is the age of the set up. If fairly young (under 1 year) now may be the time as it will have a cycle, how large of one will depend on the amount of rock and how the tank handles it.

The tank is going on 2 years old next month. It has been a pretty smooth process all in all. The only real problems I have had were some deaths. Some were my fault in the newbie stage and some were bad advice from a lfs that is no longer in business. In either case I learned the value of research and not buying on impulse, and the oh thats cool gotta have one feeling I get almost every time I walk into one of the lfs's in the area.

It is really up to you. If your system is handling your current bio-load, then theres really no reason to mess with it. If you decide that you want to add more fish later on, then I see a reason to add more LR. Another pro to getting more LR is that you"ll have more "real estate" to place more corals on. Just food for thought.

Yes, 2 years old and all is well. I might just leave it alone. This is in no way scientific, but logical and rational, I leave my tanks alone until some change happens. One example; right now the coral are doing well and the same 6 fish are all fine, no problems, so I just enjoy the set up. I may add a coral here or there if I find a good deal. Now, if something happened like a fish dies, I will seek out another to replace it that I think will fit with the rest. Or, another example; one side of the tank gets a heavy out break of algae and the time comes to pull some rock to clean and I will then re-arrange the aqua-scape.
As long as things are o.k, I am o.k.

Thanks for the advice unclejed. So far that is how I have been taking care of my tank, except when a fish dies I dont replace it. Maybe its just that I feel the need to stick my hands in the tank and do something. Maybe its time for another build. I have a 20g tankin the garage not being used.
