New goby and pistol shrimp!

    After the early demise of our pinkbar goby, who decided to vault out of the tank one night, Jwin and I waited a few weeks until we got exactly what we wanted - a yellow watchman goby. They found each other about 10 minutes after acclimating the goby. Actually, the goby circled the tank and just happened to dive into a hole that just happened to be occupied by the shrimp! After a few weeks of a quiet shrimp, they came out that night and did a major overhaul of the sand bed, so I knew they had paired up. This is a beautiful goby! Note to goby: Please stay in the tank!!!

    Mine jump out and over to the predrilled spot in my tank, then got sucked down into the sump.

    I found it on the filter pad..... ALIVE.

    Still is ok today. It hasn't jumped out again.... yet.
