New Guy Here.

Hello everyone, Im new to the forums. I have been into saltwater Tanks for just a few years now and its slowly turning into a hobby of mine that seems to be pushing all my other hobbies aside. (Think im becoming an addict! ;D) Anyway My fist tank was a few years back when I knew NOTHING about saltwater since then I went to a 24 gallon nano cube with some fish and some corals (zoas,leathers,mushrooms) I ran that set up for a year just to get my feet wet and learn a little more about corals and the process of keeping a clean healthy tank. I just recently sold that and started a 55g setup about 3 weeks ago. Im running a canister filter system along with power heads and a ramora protein skimmer and 2 t5s. I plan to get a decent selection of fish but my main goal is coral this go around. This seems like a pretty decent forum with some knowledgeable people! Looking forward to being a member for a long time!

Ill see what i can get. Its only a month old so still have a loooong way to go!! Plan on putting some more rock in next week. just kinda got the basics to get it up and running so far.

I have a few ill throw up in a few. Be nice to get some starter pics up anyways that way a few months down the road and can post some updated ones to see how much progress ive made

Here is the start of my new 55g. Made the lid and stand. Running a Canister filter under it.. wishing i would have made more room for a actual sump

I have since added a Box on around the pump for skimmer to skim of the top of the water and to catch the water coming back out to get rid of some micro bubbles.

And yes im sure i will be yelled at but I already added fish.. I Hyper Cycled my tank.. and started off with live rock sand and pre mixed saltwater from The local saltwater fish store.



Still planning on adding more rock. If anyone has any other advice or input please feel free to leave feedback!!
