Hows it going, Im gathering equipment to start my salt tank soon. So far Ive aquired a Hagen 120 gallon tank, and a 47 gallon that im gona use as a sump. Ive been leak testing the 47 for 24 hours now no leaks yet. I think someone custom built it cause one side is lower the all the others. Picked it up on CL for 10$. Got the 120 an hour ago for 200$, also a CL find. Waiting on my neighbor to get home to help unload it. I have to build a stand for the DT. But that will have to wait till im back from leave next month. Im thinking about doing a beananimal overflow. Im excited for the build, my wife isnt.

Congrats, looks like a great start. I used to run the bank in Oak Harbor =-). I would recommend checking out some of the build thread for some good ideas. Lots of knowledgeable reefers around!

Thank you also for your service. Good luck!

The 120 was used to house lizards with sand. Is there anything special I need to do to clean it?

    Welcome!

I'd use a diluted vinegar mix to clean it out really good. I know some people would recommend bleach followed by the vinegar.... but personally the idea of bleach any where near my tank scares me!
