hello all! new to the forum, not marine tanks at least pred tanks, little new to fish with reef. I have a 180 gallon long with: a coral beauty, a yellow tang, scribbled rabbitfish, spot foxface, red legged hermits, blue legged hermits, larger turbos, a few small sand sifter stars, and 2 emerald crabs....main ?'s are: i got rid of my predators 'cause of a massive breakout of calerpa nullameria but these fish, none of which are more than 3 inches, wiped out about 3 gallons of calerpa in 36 hours!!!! what else can i feed them to satiate their diet away from my corals? Any help would be greatly appreciated.....the foxface seems to be nibbling my corals bases when i look away like a little veiled ninja! but under huge lighting!

Im not an expert on Fox faces, but from what I understand itis hit and miss with Coral beauties.
There are plenty of different kinds of foods out their to give your fish the best nutrition possible, but if a fish wants to nip corals, theres really no stopping them.

Make sure to always have a strip of algea in the tank, also people will use lettuce and brocci.

One thing i like to do with the algea strips, i take small pieces and rubber band them to rocks, i make cuts in the top of it so it has "fingers" i then pleace the rubble into the rock work, it looks more natural and it waves with the water. My fish loved this!

only problem is my tank is very deep, I think it is 180 gallons but is second hand so not sure...think more about 200, thing is huge....dont like to reach my whole arm in (pretty long arm, I'm 6-2) dont want soap or anything else on me in my tank.....foxface wont touch green, red, brown or any other sheets i place on clips...might have to try tying to rock to make it seem more natural? not sure
