    Daniel072,

I see your tank size and lights in your sig. That's why you have to feed your anemone regularly, your lights aren't intense enough for it. Certainly they get some of the job done, but not 100%. Not a bash to you, just an observation.

well i say, they are probably in shock from the lighting change, i would alter your lighting times and maybe slowly aclimate them to having the strong light all day. i'd stick them on the bottom and dose phyto.

dont worry when we started we got a purple tip sebae about 2 weeks after we got a biocube, and stuck it in there, it is now HUGE its been moved to a bigger tank, and is extremely happy and healthy. it can be done, even if your tank is new. granted we didn't know not to put a nem right away but when we found out six months later we realized it was healthy and happy so y take it out lol. anyway its been in there now for many many months and like i said happy and healthy, its not advisable i guess to add anemones so early but OUR experience was that it can be done. dont worry, just take it slow, or worst comes to worse, set up a qt, and put them in there alone till they recover if they recover in case they nuke the tank.

Not getting involved in your arguement...

However, I did notice that the original poster stated that its a new aquarium... Maybe thats the issue and not so much the lights.... The light issue is more than likely conincidental and its probably the stage to which the aquarium is in.

Dont buy an anemone unless you have a well established aquarium, or you are an expert in marine biology and can keep water levels/parameters stabilized right off the get-go.

Splitting is a survival mechanism. It's not their growth pattern.

    Great info

    I did test water
    Ammonia-0 ppm
    PH- 8.5 ppm
    Nitrate - 40 ppm
    Nitrite- .5 ppm

Now my long tentical moved under my lova rock. But the african yellow looks like its getting better. But some of the yellow looks burned.

Well how many hours do you think it should be on? Right now the timers are set for 10 hrs.
