    these are way too high. nitrate should be below 10 and nitrite should be undetectable

    How do I bring it down? I have been doing water changes every other week about 10%. Also on my canister i have a phos x pillow.

    Has your tank cycled fully? most people dont get nitrites, unless your tank is goin through a cycle. These are hard to keep, especially if you dont have great water quality. I think they will likely die. You could of said that in the first place and avoided the earlier arguement. I lost a few when I started and havent really wanted to keep another.

    Yes it would think it has fully cycled. I took down a 55 gal i had for years and used all the water and sand.
