    Welcome to 3reef!

May want to see if you can trade in the anemones. If you have diatoms, the tank is very young still and the anemones could possibly die, setting back your tank something fierce as they will take it out like a nuke.

What do you have for equipment? Current params? How long has it been running?

There is a form at the beginning of the ASAP forum I would like you to fill out. It will help us out a lot. I would also, if it is not in the form, like to know the age of the tank.

I can tell you one thing I would do right off the bat.....get rid of the top and put the light on legs. Your tank's gas exchange will increase and pH will rise. Most people with tops on their tanks run pHs in the high 7s instead of the low 8s.

it will but with a top your ph will be lower becuase of the less gas exchange. i think it would be sufficent just to take the front glass part of and leave the back glass so theres no problem of mounting the light.

also how much flow do you have in the tank.

what type of skimmer do you have?

skimmer is just a Fisson nano skimmer good to 30g .
flow till this weekend is just from the powerhead and the filter.
sump setup supposally pushes 300gph .

a higher flowrate is a good way to combat alot of types of algae.

it would be impossible or atleast impracticle to do this buy overflow and return.

most reef tanks have the flow between 40-50x turn over rate.

    so 50x20(tanksize)=1000 gph
so the gph of the powerheads and pumps should add up to around 1000 gph
