new here, just wanted to post first thread

thanks guys! I had a question actually..

I seem to be having a bit of a brownish algae issue in my smaller 3 gallon quarantine.. I did a water change Friday night and tested my water earlier this evening. Everything came out ok.. ammon-0, nitrite-0, nitrates less than .02 ppm. Its not mortifying but it is starting to form a thin layered sheet of it on the bottom of the tank and kind of everywhere.. any suggestions? algae scraper?

also the water I am using is from my lfs and was told it is ro/di water from a 4 stage system and I also get mixed saltwater from them measuring 1.025 salinity level for the weekly water changes

 

Diatoms probably. Totally normal, should go away after a while.

 

Good news!! My new refractometer just came in from premium aquatics along with my bottle of tropic marin pro coral cure! AND my boost lights came in yesterday!!!!! Finally, I can get some corals!!
