    Ok y'all I've been researching for the last six months. I've a 110G that I'll be starting immediately after the holidays. I am planning to go completely off the path. :idea2: Here's some of what I have and have in mind:

    110G long
    @125-150# of substrate
    @150-200# of LR
    Magnum 350Pro Canister filter
    DIY Coil Denitrator
    Eco-Aqualizer X-150
    Berlin Protien Skimmer
    and enough pumps/power heads/plumbing to power it all.

    I have all but half of the rock, 50# sand, and the aqualizer. I've a tank now that's set up pretty nice. But I want to try the ultimate minimalist approach and see what happens. I'll let everyone know. Should be very interesting. :sunny:

    Welcome to 3REEF.

    if it where me I would skip the Eco-Aqualizer. and look into a Skimmer that is a little better to handle 110G

    Wow, thanks!

    Thanks for the welcome. Very unexpected! I got the typical automated email responses from all the other 'reef' sites. So this was welcoming!
    So, about the tank I'm planning...I want to try it this way so as to try all the 'unorthodox methods' for maintaining a tank [hence the EcoAqualizer]. I want to attempt the ultimate minimalist approach for our aquaria husbandry. :builder2:
    I also failed to mention that I'll be purchasing some more lighting to supplement what I currently have. I own two 48" HO T5 10k's and two True Actinic's of the same length. I am thinking of purchasing three 10K and three Actinic 4LED PowerBrite units from Current-USA. I will be posting pics by the end of the month of my current inventory.
