Last night I just bought a naso tang and a hippo tang. Both from my lfs and saw them eat before taking them home. I was wondering their tempermants and getting used to the tank. Whenever I approach my tank the two of them go and hide under and inbetween my live rock. Is this normal? Or are they just getting used to the new tank

That is completely normal for new fish, like said previously. Haha I have a tang and it took a month or so for the 2 of us to get used to eachother. Finally it stopped hiding when I came to the tank.

How big is your tank? Naso's need alot of swimming space. I have a 6" one in a 6ft tank and I feel like he needs more room.
I think it will be a good excuse to upgrade in a few years :)

You added two large tangs like that at once, thats going to have a big hit on your bioload. Agreed naso's need huge tanks, Blue tangs need even larger.

How large are they right now? They may be ok for a bit if they are small. But two full grown tangs like that will need 250 to 300 gallons to be healthy. Both of them together.

They will be fine for a while. I would look into upgrading in about 6 to 8 months though.
