    I second on the pencil urchin...in which case you do need to worry about it because it eats coral. Also, if it is not a coral eating urchin and rather one that just eats coraline I would still also get it out if you want coraline algae to grow. I dont care what anyone says about it speading the coraline...All I know is that I kept one of those spiny black urchins thinking it couldnt possibly eat more than it will help to spread, but I was WRONG. Needless to say he cleaned out all of my gorgeous coraline in a matter of a couple weeks.

    I found the exact name is Echinometra viridis. Its known just a reef urchin. I couldn't really find that much information about them though.

    Echinometra viridis is correct.. they are harmless I have had one in my tank your years.. and still have to scrape the crap off of my glass.. they will not deplete your coraline.. perfectly reef safe!!! and fun to watch.. as a matter of fact I was cleaning my glass last night and pissed mine off with the cleaning and he came out and spread his sead all over my tank making it hard to see anything..:eek:
