I was thinking of building a holding tank in the plywood tank style or fully fiberglass, but now I have a different idea. Im thinking of building a plywood reinforced with 2x4 frame and lining the inside with polypropolyne. My partners employees can build anything out of polypropolyne and its cheap. So might be a good alternative. And since my holding tanks will be like 12'x4'x2' or bigger this might be the way to go. What do you guys think?

55 gallon plastic drums cut in half length wise and set end to end with a weir for overflow. Could make some real nice raceways that way.

I built 10' x 30' x 3' ponds using polypropylene liner and cinderblocks (filled with sand). It worked well and I never had any leaks.

Not sure about the drum cut in half thing would waste to much space. But yeah im digging the polypropolyne idea right now.

I can tell you that the polypropylene idea is a lot less work than an epoxy/ plywood hybrid would be. It is also more utilitarian than a plywood epoxy tank, but, if that does not bother you, then go for it.
