How do you like the xm's? How are your growth rates?

We like the XM's a lot. The fixture originally came with SPS bulbs that were 14K but I really didn't like how yellow they were so we switched to the XM's plus they were cheaper.

As far as growth rates go I have one green plate that I know has gotten quite a bit bigger the rest of the corals haven't been in there long enough to gauge

Wow, the tank looks great! I really like the cabinet/canopy. Nice shots of the fish/coral as well. :)

Is the sea fan difficult to care for?

Beautiful set up! Should look really nice when all the coral is grown out. Just curious why t8's and not t5's?

I have only had it a week but from what I was told from the store where I bought it was there pretty easy. Basically a filter feeding coral so as long as your feeding cyclepeeze and other small foods they should do all right

    Thanks

We bought the light fixture used with our last tank and the T8's were in so we just stuck with them

I would imagine in a tank as large as yours a sea fan might actually benefit from all the fish poo. I was thinking about getting one for a nano tank down the road, but I think I may have to feed it more often. I'll start with just a purple gorgonia then try a sea fan.
