nice fixture what bulb combo do you run?

 

Just the ones that come with it, i want to upgrade to uvl in the future. i like the blue look, and i hear they are great bulbs. I just dont have the money at the moment. unfortunately the check engine light came on in my recently lol. so im not going to spend anything until I can get it fixed. that and i still need to do the whole sump thing.

 

ya thats cool man, i run 2x uvl superactinics and 2 x gesemenn aquablue+ its pretty white purlple blue mix.

 

There are actually several fixtures you can get for a 55. Tek fixtures are about 15" wide, but the area where the bulbs are is only about 12", so it would work fairly well.

You can also run the Aquactinics TX5. It's a 5-bulb T5 fixture.

That bird's nest is actually a pretty hardy coral and grows pretty fast.

 

You can actually fit 8 or more T5's on a 55. I retro fitted 8 flat, then inclined them toward the center with Metal Halide retro kits in the center. I know of an 8 bulb unit from Royal that has 8 T5s in a fixture but I have to find you the listing for it.
