    I was in a rush when I told my LFS to throw this guy in a bag, and completly forgot to ask what it was, and what special needs it has... Anyone who could ID this guy would be helping me out, thanks

    Gorgonian, I believe it is non-photosynthetic. You will need to make sure it gets fed daily.

    Thanks guys! I alternate reef roids, and ouyster feast to the tank daily, I'm assuming between my sun coral, alveopora, and this new guy I should probably pick my feeding schedual up a little but. Thanks again on the ID

    A good dose of Phyto every couple of days will help keep it in good shape.

    I used to dose phyto, but I would have to scrape my glass two sometimes three times day... Just turned into too much work

    After spending the entire day reading up on gorgonians I'm thinking this one is similar to a purple gorgonian on the liveaquaria website...

    Congrats! Sea fans are so cool!! I have two that are doing well with feedings a few times a week.
