    Hello All

I have finally bought my new home and the first thing I bought was MY fish tank which I always wanted since young days...

As a beginner I thought I start easy so I bought a second hand tank with everything in it. I have a internal jewel compact filter, 150w heater, and single outlet pump which is rubbish. :-/

My tank is 6ft by 2ft dont know how many gallons that is yet.

I hate the gravel I got with it which is multi coloured and plastic plants with rock and a boat.

    I also have

    4 Guppies
    1 Platie
    2 Mollie
    2 Fighter fish
    15 Cardinal Tetras

All of this cost me just over £200. I will let you decide if I have been ripped off or made a bargain.

I hope I can get all the answers I will be asking to you experianced people. ;D

    Thanks

    Welcome to 3reef!
So the tank is a freshwater tank, 6 feet by 2 feet by X feet? could you measure how tall it is so we can figured out your gallons?

I will let you know the full dimension soon as I ger home..

It would be useful for me to know how to work out the gallon.

If the tank is 2 feet high (6 long, 2 wide, 2 high), you are looking at around 180 gallons, I think a good deal.

Another $1500 and you can make that into a pretty nice reef tank ;).
