    Hi.
I am from South africa and would like to set up a salt water tank, but i can't get appropiate info without being pushed into buying what ever the petshop people say i should have and being ripped off.
Could somebody please help. I have a 3foot fresh watertank already up and runing but i am board with the lack of colorfull fish. I have an Albino oscar, Tigar oscar, Blood parrot, Frontosa Cichlid and 2 plecostomus.

So if you are willing to help please send me an email at
    stephenthomas_2007@yahoo.com

    Thanks

let me try to understand you correctly, you have a fresh water tank that you want to convert to salt? has your fresh tank ever been treated with copper meds or meds in general. If yes, then the first thing you will need to keep in the back of you head is treating it, while you a re cycling it. Use cuprisorb. it works. if it hasn't been treated ask as many questions as you can think of! we've probably heard/asked most already. read everything you can on saltwater tanks. Read 3reef, front to back LOL seriously though, you already have a slight head start in the right direction...you found 3reef! :)
