New Japanese Snapping Shrimp

I ordered a tiger pistol shrimp at my LFS. They were unable to get the Tiger. however, they did get a Japanese Snapping shrimp. aka Red Pistol Shrimp. my shrimp is nearly an inch and a half. Quite an impressive little shrimp too. It has a beautiful red/burgandy coloration with white spots.

attached is a pic while acclimating. i will post more later.

i am anxious to see if it will pair up with my YWG. if/when it does i will post a youtube link.

does anyone have any experiece with these red pistol shrimps? i know that they are goby compatible. i was just wondering if anyone has/had one.

well as of right now i havent seen him since i put him in there. but i think thats typical of new shrimps. im sure they will hook up sooner or later. he is quite a bit bigger than my last one. i just hope he doesnt get angry 8)

the odd thing is that i havent found any info on red pistol shrimps hooking up with gobies. i only know that they do.

tiger pistols and red banded/yasha goby combos are the most common

very little info on the japanese snapping shrimp
