New Laptops For Me And My Wife!!!!

I think they are confused as how the computer is only 14.1" wide and the screen is 15.4". I think thats what they are getting at?
Anyways, screens are measured from top left corner to bottom right corner. Not just straight across

 

No it was a ESI 420a slow, but it was fully built.
I do however own a 95 eclipse gsx awd turbo

 

Yea screen measuments are measured from top left to bottom right.
This is the case with all monitors,screens,tv's
a 32' Tv is not 32 inches from one side to other.
Its top corner to bottom corner on adjacent sides

 

LOL... Wow this cold is kicking my A$$, It makes sense, the notebook is 14.1" wide & the LCD is 15.4" diag. Sorry for the confusion.. I hate being sick, my head is still in a fog. Good deal at $350.00 I still can't stand Vista though... I'm beta testing Windows 7, Very fast & stable so far..

am, I think that "WXGA" Means wide screen and I think it's measured diagonally. for example, from the bottom left of the screen to the top right of the screen... I'm not too sure, but I think this is how it's measured now a days

By the way, congrats on the new laptop. I'm looking into a new one myself. Preferably an alienware or an hp Tablet. Although I'm more of a DELL kinda guy. Their service and support is VERY good

 

True to LCD & plasma's... CRT monitors & tubed TV's are not exact measurements also know as "viewable". Example: a 15" CRT monitor will vary from 13.9" to 14.1" depending on mfg housing. Versa a LCD 15" is 15" viewable.
