New leather looking funky

    I got this leather last week, it looks like it's folding itself up. Should I be worried?

    Hi Jdameli

    they often do this prior to shedding their outer layer of skin
    as they contract it does create the creases you are seeing

    its often hard to tell when viewing images in 2D
    but if when it is fully expanded the shrooms above or below can touch it
    that may also cause it to deflate in the above manner

    if its clear of the shrooms and or other corals when it is fully expanded
    then nothing to worry about at this stage and in the near future, you will probably see the surface darkening slightly and then a layer of skin sloughing off
    there after it will return to full expansion/ size with polyps extending again

    Looking much more normal today

    Only trouble I'm having is it's stalk got damaged when it was shipped so it's not hanging on the rock to well

    Any way to help it stick
