I just got a new light fixture today it is a USA Orbit 36 inch fixture and it has 1 large fan 192 watts. My complaint is that the fan is very loud! Does anyone have any experience with this? Does anyone know any way to make it quieter?some advice would be appreciated.

Is it a vibration noise or just the fan? If you're handy, you can buy a different PC fan that's rated for a higher CFM (air movement) and a lower dBA (noise level). Mind you, this will definitely void your warranty.

i have a nova extreme pro, 2 cooling fans. they are kinda loud in a quiet room, but in a room that only one thing is making noise its gonna be loud.
the tv probably is a little louder then it was before, but i dont notice the fans anymore.

Tiger, newegg, xoxide, all of those places are good. I'd suggest frozencpu.com. What you want to do is pop open your fixture and take a look at the sticker on the fan:

Take a look at the serial number and then run a search on google. This serial is mga12012hb-025. Searching through google, you can see that the product is this: 120mm dual ball bearing Protechnic Electric MGA12012HB-025 2500rpm 38dba fan at about 92cfm. Google is your friend.

Using this info, you'll be able to match fan sizes and then tailer the CFM and dBA to your needs. Of all the Current USA and other fixtures I've seen, all of them use standard PC case fans.

I had the same fixture, and yes the fan made noise. It wasn't terribly loud, but it was also my first fixture so I didn't know any better. Having a TEK T5 now with no fan, I can definitely say that the USA was loud.

there is no vibration going on at all, just a loud fan thats all. Attached is a pic of the end cap of the fixture with the large fan

i called the manufacturer, and they sudgested that i replace the fan. It is a 80mm fan, and you can buy a fan with a very low decibel rating from a computer store for around 20 dollars. They say they use a cheap OEM fan that is not rated to be quiet, just be functinal. If I wan the fixture to be quiet, i have to pay for the fan and replace it myself. I will update when i do the upgrade.
