I have a question about some lights I was thinking of getting. I currently run 250 mh 20k bulb but I wanted some actinics for supplementation and for the last hr of light at night time. The tank is a 40 breeder and I was looking at hagen GLO ballasts for 24" t5ho. I was either going to get 2 or 4 lights. How many should I get? Does anyone know the reliability for the glo ballasts?

    Thanks

ps. The pic is with one 18" t8 fluorescent over the nepthea. I put it there just to see how it would look with actinic.

2 bulbs would do just fine for supplementation. I have no experience with GLO equipment. On the other hand, I have heard nothing bad about them either.

I was thinking one true actinic and one fiji purple. Do you have any experience with the fiji purple or recommendations? The bulb is 30$ so I don't want to buy it and not like it.

I never could bring myself to buy one. I use UVL Super Actinics and love them.
